Summary:

Assists in the successful operation of contracted records management programs, records centers, dockets, and other ongoing information service functions at a specific work site. Plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of administration and manage task order personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for records management programs, dockets, records centers, or other information service under the supervision of a Records/Information Manager.
  • Assist in planning and program development, analysis of records management problems, and design of strategies to meet ongoing records management needs. Specific technical duties may vary according to the needs of the work site and include, but are not limited to, response to inquiries; collection maintenance and retrieval tasks; equipment maintenance; and use of automated information systems.
  • Maintain, inventory and track documents; retrieve, sort, assemble, and label documents; Following file structure guidance; perform QA/QC on documents ;review work processes and ensure best practices; scanning, processing and indexing; QA/QC of scanned documents; assist in FOIA requests; prepare SF 135’s and box lists; proofread and ensure quality of all work performed; take responsibility for specific projects and other duties as assigned; maintain daily, weekly, and monthly statistics to provide to the TOM,
  • Contribute to monthly narrative reports for compilation by the TOM; assist other members of the team as requested.
  • Recommend and/or lead new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery.
  • Generate various reports/deliverables including monthly program status reports to the appropriate customers and management personnel.
  • Coordinate with the Program Manager to effectively recommend hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations based upon customer/operational needs.
  • Prepare and present Employee Performance evaluations and submit to Corporate within 30 days of the Performance Evaluation due date.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet customer or corporate business/operational needs.


Supervision:

Plan, organize, direct and guide the daily activities of the team members. Participate in hiring, training and performance evaluations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization policies and applicable laws.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of information management experience, three of which have been in a supervisory or team lead capacity. Experience with at least one automated information system is required, experience with Versatile Enterprise software system/modules a plus. Experience with federal records and NARA records management experience an extreme plus.

Computer Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and knowledge of Access or similar type of database used for records inventories.
