Summary:
This position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Horizon Lines and Horizon Logistics EDI applications. The person who fills this role should be highly team oriented with concise and proactive communication skills. Knowledge of .Net, C#, EDI transaction sets and BizTalk with a minimum of 3 years programming experience preferred.

- Writing software code that will be implemented in a production environment to resolve system issues or to expand system functionality via minor enhancements.
- Troubleshooting with VAN’s and technical EDI support teams from 3rd party suppliers, vendors, banking institutions, and customers
- Testing software code to ensure its suitability for implementation in a production environment.
- Talking with business users to understand business requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business/operational needs.
Supervision
This position does not have any formal supervisory responsibility.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the following:
Computer Skills
- C# and .Net Framework versions 2.0, 3.5, and 4.0
- T-SQL – Stored procedures and one-time queries
- XML
- BizTalk – workflow, maps
Equivalent of a combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Must have the ability to work perform independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in all aspects of systems and requirements analysis, planning, supports design, development and integration systems and architectures.
- Must have the ability to be open to new ideas and changing technology.
