Summary:
Serve as traditional Security Manager with emphasis on Information Assurance supporting a training support contract for the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform as information assurance security manager.
  2. Initiate projects on security planning, certification, and accreditation per DOD standards.
  3. Assist government IA manager in ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.
  4. Spearhead projects on technology protection planning, development of security classification guides, IA training coordination, information disclosure, and Communications Security (COMSEC).
  5. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Supervision:
This position does not have any formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4 to 6 years of experience in a related area or equivalent military experience. Requires 4 to 6 years of experience in the computer systems field.
Computer Skills:
Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Security+ required; A+, Network +, Operating System a plus

Clearance: Secret, or secret eligible
