Summary:

Provide technical support in the development of Counterintelligence (CI) policy and CI Campaign policy for AFOSI by obtaining information necessary to his/her tasks via various Government and commercial information systems and networks, telephonic contacts, and meetings with Government entities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning, development, implementation, and sustainment of CI Campaigns and various CI programs, to include CI Investigations, CI Operations, Research and Technology Protection, CI Collections, Joint Terrorism Task Forces, and Force Protection Detachments.
  2. Perform in-depth research and all-source analysis of complex and sensitive intelligence information to determine Foreign Intelligence and Security Services (FISS) threats to the USAF, DoD, and US interests.
  3. Review and assess AFOSI's field CI reporting for quality of content and responsiveness to taskings, to identify intelligence gaps in reporting, and to provide constructive feedback to enhance field performance.
  4. Attend and participate in discussions of counterintelligence matters at meetings and conferences world-wide approximately four out-of-town, and several in the local area.
  5. Provide AFOSI's CI leaders with verbal and written summaries of meetings/conferences and make recommendations to AFOSI personnel based on information discussed.
  6. Prepare draft briefings and analysis on counterintelligence matters for AFOSI, USAF, DoD, and national-level agencies.
  7. Provide analysis and recommendations on the capabilities of FISS entities that pose a threat to the USAF.
  8. Meet with Government personnel to analyze and coordinate counterintelligence matters.
  9. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Supervision:

  1. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.


Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 

  • Significant experience in the Human Intelligence (HUMINT) discipline, Offensive Counterintelligence Operations (OFCO), and/or Counterintelligence Investigations.
  • Significant experience working within either a DoD/national-level intelligence agency or a DoD/national-level law enforcement agency.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. With an Associate’s degree, five years of counterintelligence experience required. Individuals without a degree must have ten years of counterintelligence experience.

Computer Skills:
Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

Clearance: TS SCI must pass a full CI polygraph

Travel: Approximately 4 trips within CONUS (3-5 days) and 2 trips OCONUS (7-10 days) a year.
