Summary:
Manage software lifecycle projects including the following tasks: working with business users to propose and document solutions for system modifications requested by a business user, developing and documenting business requirements, and managing project scope, budget, and objective schedules. This position requires all candidates to have the ability to work in the United States for any employer.

  1. Work with business users to keep them updated on the progress of projects
  2. Utilize problem solving and technical skills to effectively design, develop and document application designs or changes to an existing application
  3. Manage and assist developers during the development stage of the project to ensure the business needs and requirements are being accurately addressed
  4. Provide and document user training for new application and application changes
  5. Manage the project’s day-to-day activities and implementation
  6. Troubleshoot help tickets to identify potential root causes of user reported bugs
  7. Work with developers to ensure work effort and quality of work meets expectations
  8. Develop proposals for business and technical projects
  9. Estimate project costs
  10. Functional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    1. Requirements gathering and documentation
    2. Process Re-engineering
    3. Data modeling
    4. Application Design and documentation
    5. Liaison between business and technical team
    6. Training users
    7. Development of training documentation
    8. QA, IT testing and user test coordination for applications
    9. Project plan
    10. Technical design and documentation
    11. Functional design and documentation
    12. Testing scripts
    13. Status reports

Supervision:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or MIS. Experience leading or managing projects through Software Development Life Cycle (1-3 years) required. PMP certification preferred. Experience with proposal development and cost estimation for business and technical projects preferred.
 
Computer Skills:
Prior application development experience (1-3 years), preferably in Microsoft .NET technologies required. Experience in T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or related RDBMS required. Proficient in Microsoft Office products including: Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: PMP Certification preferred.
